The Mirror is a foreign film set in Tehran, Iran. Jafar Panahi directed this film in 1998.
It begins by telling the story of a little girl left to find her own way from home after her mother apparently forgets to pick her up. Only being in 1st grade, she isn't clear on exactly HOW to get home, but is able to communicate with bus drivers and police landmarks that she recognizes.
Halfway through the film, she apparently gets tired of acting, and wants to quit shooting
For the most part, we don't watch the blockbusters. Every once in a while they might sneak in, but my brother-in-law is a director in a small video production firm, and has turned us on to some fantastic films, of which I would like to talk about here.
I also used to do movie reviews for the paper in college. I do thank you for reading, and hope you enjoy.
Today I want to talk about the movie Wild Strawberries. A 1957 Ingmar Bergman film, I think it's in Swedish,

Last night as I was leaving for one of the local pubs to sip some scotch, I opened the humidor, reached in and pulled out a neat little cigar (5” x 48 maybe?). It had one of those “curly heads”, that had been cut down to a nub, and a dark brown, semi oily wrapper. No label what so ever, but I said what the heck and took it for the trip.
It smoked beautifully. It had dark grey, heavy ashes; a smooth - almost refreshing smoke; and a perfectly even burn. I have no idea where it came from,
After getting the call that the "work Day" at the hunting club has been postponed, I have nothing to do besides sit around, enjoying some nice cigars, and relaxing on this very nice, (so far), weekend.
First up, 5 Vegas Gold #1 with the coffee, up next: Cupido Campana. After that? who knows... perhaps I'll visit that Island country
3-Day Weekend Starts NOW
Started the evening with a VERY nice Camacho 10th anni. Torpedo, Sparing no expense this weekend, only the best from the humidor for the next three days!
