Referring to ISOM, had the opportunity to smoke one tonight and thought I'd share my impressions on this cigar. The first inch of the cigar was quite a bit spongier than the rest of the cigar and it made me interested in what this little thing is all about. The first third of the cigar was a bit...
I personally think Cohibas are overpriced and overrated.
But the Cohiba Siglo II I smoked the other day was amazing, especially for a petite corona.
It has the best construction I have seen, the cap was absolutely perfect ! This roller had some talent.
The burn was amazing to the end, no...
Cigars International is having a clearance on these. Wow! The chiefs are 7 1/2 by 52! An impressive smoke to say the least. Anyway, they are tasty medium bodied smokes with the signature Indian Tabac flavor profile. Cedary and aromatic, with a sweet finish. They're selling a box of 25 for $50, plus...
Peterson Gran Reserva
Size: 7 inches and low-mid 40's ring gauge (donít know the exact size, couldnít find any info online).
Construction: Perfectly strait sides, good cap, no veins or stems big enough to cause any problems.
Draw: Firm, not too loose or too tight.
Never had one. Can anyone offer any comments on these?
I cant speak for any of the other Rey cigars but this is a very good cheap smoke. This is my staple smoke and I get it for about $3.40.
Dark brown wrapper with terrific construction. Rarely has to be relit. Burns even draws even better. Taste is medium to full bodied with hints of pepper...
I bought this stick for $11.75 which is high but for some reason cigars in cleveland are pricey.
The construction was flawless and the burn perfect. The taste howover left me extremely disappointed. I picked up in the first third a metallic taste on my tongue with hints of wood. This did...
Nice draw. Uneven burn was my fault. Somewhat tasty.
After smoking a number of the the regulars and the seconds, I have to say that they are not the same cigar. The seconds are harsher, have more burn problems, the ash falls easier, and they look and taste different. For the price, the seconds aren't a bad cigar, but I wouldn't say they nearly equal...
I've never posted a review before so please bear with me.....
These were purchased for me by a friend visiting Bethesda, MD. The owner of the shop (JB Sims) didn't have the cigars I was after (RP Reo, Torano 1959, Opus X), but he suggested these (amongst some others) as an alternative.

C'mon, Shag... I want to hear about the grassy/woodsy/leather/chocolate/prunes with a touch of graham crackers in there... :smiley36: Something like this...
Opus X - Prestone X review
I went to the link, WHAT IN GODS NAME DID THEY DO TO THAT CIGAR???????????????
Probably the best tasting cigar I ever smoked. I am not good with long drawn out reviews but I give it 100 out of 100 I just wish I could afford them all the time. You cant go wrong with this one. :smiley4:
Fuente Fuente Opus X
Ring Gauge 52 Length 6 3/8
Preflight Aroma= intriguing with a wood smell to it.
Burn= It has a streaky burn, but a cool slow burn.
Flavor= Complex to say the least. Lots of cedar and leather with a power undertone of salt.
Lots of nicotine it...
Rocky Patel Vintage 1990 Robusto
Burn- nice and slow
Flavor- A medium body complex smooth smoke. Yet the first quarter was weak. I did not like it until I got to the middle. At the middle it started to explode with flavor. I have been smoking the...
Cusano 18 Robusto
Connecticut shade wrapper
Pre-light aroma = good
Burn= very good, Had a rather cool burn to it.
Flavor= smooth tobacco, could be described as creamy. The finish is the best part nice powerful. This is a smoke that did not have...
size 5.0" x 50 ring
Construction= very good
Flavor= I would consider this to be a mild smoke with a complex flavor to it. It has a consitent woody base, with undertones of pepper and spice. I tell ya what its a good stick with a...
Any thoughts on these? Worth the money?
Too many words are pointless. If you haven't tried one, take the opportunity when it arises. Best cigar I ever smoked.
OK, here goes... This is for the Olor Fuerte Magnum which is a 60 ring x 6" long stick (their biggest one). I got turned on to these by buying various samplers from Famous-Smoke.com, however, I started with their robusto size. They show up a lot in their samplers and miscellaneous freebies.
My retailer came back from the RTDA with Caballeros, a new cigar he was very impressed with. I bought a Churchill right away and smoked it and really didn't care for it. Then I smoked the robusto - this is why you should try the different sizes of a cigar as they can be very, very different.
