Hey Guys...Can you list some MUST HAVES, cigars that are a must in the humidor.
I'm purchasing a couple more boxes before winter hits :smiley19: and need some suggestions !
Ashton VSG Corona Gorda
Very rich aroma
Smooth, a little oily
Dark, slightly reddish color
Good draw, easy but not too loose
When lighting it, I was surprised by the heaviness and spiciness(sp?) of it. For the first quarter/third of the cigar, it didn't seem too complex...
I just had a Partagas Black Robusto. It was very good, strong and with good flavor. I think I tasted strong chocolate and tobacco flavor. Burned pretty good most of the way down, but I needed to touch it up after about 2/3s of it. I would definately buy again.
I got a robusto in my pack I bought at the Oliva event I went to last month.
First, this is a small cigar, only about 4". Very tightly wrapped, I had suspicions the draw would be off but I was so wrong.
Lit very well. Burned great, until the very end when it got uneven. Very even, almost...
Wow! What a great f :smiley35: ing smoke!
Great bouquet, great draw, great burn, and lots of mouth watering spicy, woody, medium-full flavored smoke! The smoke looked great too! A perfect roll. Everything about this beauty was top notch! The wrapper was a dark brown, almost maduro. They...
These sticks rock! They have a nice sweet, spicy, cedary flavor. These and the Fire cigars are now my two favorites. Highly recommended! :smiley37:
Went to a nice barbeque today. I figured that I would take a good cigar with me something different. I rumaged through my singles draw and there it was. The Anejo shark staring me in the face. I picked it up grabbed my lighter and left.
Get to the barbeque and grab a Corona Beer with a lime....
nicely done, but the band is glued to the wrapper, makes it hard to remove.
the aroma is very nice and sweet.
very sweet, mellow, and slight hint of vanilla, it's probably not as complex, although it classifies as full bodied, I find it very smooth and easy for a...
Appearance and Construction
10 of 15 pts.
*Smooth, almost silky feel to it. Very moist. There were small, lighter colored blemishes on the cigar, though it wasn't very veiny at all.
*Why the low score? The draw was very firm and not really to my liking. I re-clipped the cigar in order to...
Anyone tried the Rocky Patel Sun Grown?
Yesterday evening, I smoked a Padron Anniversary 64 Natural, I think it was the Corona.
This a very classy looking smoke. The construction is obviously top-notch, the aroma is amazing, mouth-wateringly spicy, the draw was satisfactory if a little bit tighter than I like, the burn was excellent. ...
I got this in a CI brown bag sampler. It was a little veiny, but nothing serious. I thought for sure this was going to be a mediocre cigar at best. I was pleasantly surprised. It had a nice aroma, burn, draw, and flavor. The flavor was actually reminiscent of the Cohiba red dot cigars! A nice rich...
Well - I was gifted and I smoked the brand new Reo Corona tonight... These Reo's (along with the new "Vibe") are made in the Rocky Patel factory in Honduras where the Edge cigars a made. The wrapper is aged Costa Rican, Binder is Nicarauan and the filler is Nicaraguan and Honduran. I don't know...
A nice little mild-medium smoke. Looks like a Connecticut wrapper. Nice construction, nice bouquet, and a perfect burn. The smoke was medium-mild and creamy. I'm not a big fan of mild cigars but this one was nice. :smiley20:
Pre-Light Aroma: Exquisite, definite hints of cocoa.
Draw: Mine was tight, my friend's was fine, had to use the largest punch size, which I prefer not to do.
Construction: Great burn, self-correcting, over 1.5" of ash for first ash.
Flavors: cocoa, coffee, bitterness, cedar, creaminess, a...
This is a new offering for Punch (a different vitola), although part of the Gran Puro line. Our cigar shop has these in stock now as kind of a sneak preview. They are supposed to be widely released in the next month of so...
The Gran Puro has always been one of my favorite Punch cigars. It...
Ashton 8-9-8 ; My personal favorite, its a lighter cigar with little oil. the smoke is also light but I love the longevity of it and flavor. its a 6.5x44 and the burn time is about 1 hour and 20 minutes. anyone else ever tried this cigar or any of the ashtons?
Picked up a few acid's today because I had never tried them and the cigar shop had just some in. Pretty typical as to what everyone else said - its a flavored cigar and thats about it. Had a nice draw, burned well, got harsh tward the end though. The amusing part was how my cat reacted to it. I'v...
I love this vitola! It's fat enough for a cool, even draw and plenty of flavorful smoke and short enough so I don't have to spend an hour or more to enjoy it. It's an ideal, hassle-free lunchtime smoke.
Made in Honduras, from 100% Authentic Pinareno Tobacco. Pinareno was one of...
I'm new to the messageboard so i'm sorry if this is a dumb question. I have my own cigar business (www.dandscigars.com) , as well as my own factory in Dominican Republic. I have my own cigar brands that I wanted to be reviewed by respected veterans of the board. I'm not exactly sure how...
