Any of you beer heads have a recommendation for a new faucet for me? I'm looking at the Perlick forward sealing one Thanks, Will
Any beer lovers on here? I am just getting into it. Seems to be the natural progression after Scotch. I just had some Big Rock espresso stout. It is a limited holiday release from the local brewery here in Calgary. Very nice. I also picked up a 6er of Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout from the...
I am passionate about coffee. I used to drink anything and everything, however my age and acidity tolerance no longer allows me to drink the quantities and style I grew up on. I searched, and wasn't able to find quite the thread that addressed my purpose in posting here: What kind of coffee do...
I know there are other threads that talk about wine, but they seem to be more concerned about pairing wine with cigars. That's not the purpose of this thread. Much like it's cousin, the "Beer Thread", the purpose of this thread is to share great bottles/vintages of wine we've enjoyed lately. ...
Found this 375 mil bottle for $9.95 on clearance at a mega liquor store today. 125 proof fresh out of the still Buffalo trace is all it is. Interesting taste ,almost like a light rum but you can taste the grain in it too. Not something you would drink every day but it is pretty cool to see what...
Stopped by and picked up a fifth of 80 proof white label . This is by no means Buffalo Trace.Woodford ect ect but for a $7.60 3 yr old Bourbon is was very good ,slightly sweet but good.It was better than any Knob creek I have drank had lately. Honestly I think Bourbon is getting out of hand...
This year I wanted to experiment with my a turkey and my smoker. I usually smoke pork loins and shoulders, and a few other things. I have never tried a turkey before, and I must say it is outstanding, easily the best turkey I've ever had. I'm going to wait till after Thanksgiving to try a couple...
Hi everyone, ever struggle to figure out what to have for supper? Need an idea? I thought It would be fun to start a thread on what everyone plans to have for supper. See if we can keep it going for those who may be searching or stuck on what to have. I am a bit of a foodie (go figure on that...
So, something that has come along in my cigar smoking hobby has been my choice of beverage. I've pretty much decided on coffee if it's a smoke before noon, or port for an after-dinner/evening smoke. There are plenty of threads about coffee. Here's one specifically about reviewing different...
This goes back a couple of days. At that time, a discussion was had regarding Coney Burgers, and right now that sounds really good. Several of us in that conversation wanted the recipe, and I wasn't kidding when I said I wanted it either! Badwhale, this is your official sticky note...hook us up...
Just gave my girl a birthday cake i baked for her. Its an Alice in wonderland themed cake, I'm pretty pleased with it for a first try. Went for a whimsical look here.
Just wondering what others prefer to drink with their cigars. Me, I love a White Russian of a Guiness.
I am on a spiritual quest to find high quality bourbons. I have tried many brands and among my favorites are Blanton's, Booker's, Woodford Reserve, and Maker's Mark (in that order). I find few things compliment a fine cigar more than a glass of straight bourbon, neat. Blanton's is the...
Just got my 1950's Frigidaire Coors Banquet refrigerator back from paint. I did the stripe, chrome top piece, and handle myself but had a friend of my father's paint the fridge body. Runs perfect. The paint is just slightly off the Coors Banquet yellow color but it i damn close.
Who enjoys em' and which brands?
Been off on a rum kick the last couple of weeks. Went through the other thread which was slightly dated -- so I'm kind of curious what are folks' current top picks?
The 2011 Great Arizona Homebrew Competition is scheduled for March 26th & 27th. If you have beers that you'd like judged, enter them. All meads, ciders, and perrys will be judged in the 2011 Arizona Mead Cup scheduled at the same venue. Good luck, Wild
