Discussion of movies and movie reviews.
I did a search, and I know this whole forum is for movies in general, but I thought maybe this would be a good repository for what you've watched recently. Kinda like what "what are you listening" has morphed in to. I'll start: Caddyshack Watched that Sunday night, and forgot how goddamn...
With encouragement from this post, I'm gonna just start this, and see if it catches. What's the coolest album you've heard recently? Could be anything, really. I guess I'm looking for this to be a place where we can talk about recent albums we've heard that we've liked or hated. For me,...
Anyone watching this? I really enjoy the books and have watched the first two episodes. I don't think some of the motives transfer over very well to the small screen because there is a lot of things in the books going on in the characters heads that really drive the story and the intrigue but...
Anyone seen this series? I'm not usually one for television, but the brother-in-law got me this series for Christmas. Usually at our house, our television watching is limited to Dinosaur Train and Word World - even the occasional House episode. But I've never seen, or kept up with a show like...
Not really about the electric car, but a study of four personalities: 1. Bob Lutz, car guy, very smart, lately of Chevrolet Volt fame, perhaps best known before that for the Dodge Viper and the BMW 3-series; 2. Carlos Ghosn, of Renault-Nissan, money guy, incredibly smart, and develops the Nissan...
Watched Phantoms last night. It is a horror movie starring Ben Affleck and Rose MacGowen. Overall not a bad movie, it had some moments that had me laughing really hard, some moments where I said "what the fuck is going on here" and some moments where I was a bit creeped out. I won't say it was the...
Any Kung Fu movie heads out there in Cigar forum Land? I was raised on Saturday afternoon Kung Fu Theater as a kid and am refocusing on my collection for the summer. I recently picked up 36th Chambers and I own a good amount of classics (Kid with the golden Arm, 5 deadly Venom's, Shaolin vs....
So, I spend a lot of time listening to music. I'm still old-school, for the most part, where I listen to an entire album, rather than just buying singles from iTunes. I'm sure I'm not alone when I say that sometimes there are other songs on an album that I like more than the released...
Went to this last night and all I can say is if you enjoyed any of the previous films you will love this one. Really damn good movie. I have read that the Rock and the rest of the previous cast has signed on for a 6th and with how this one ended I have a feeling it is going to be awesome.
Have you watched this movie, anyone? I was laughing all my heart out awhile ago.:smiley36:
This movie blew my mind. Wow. The smartest film I've seen in years, and incredibly "real" for all it's dream-like qualities. Highly recommend.
If you can get past all the cheese that is Jamie Fox this story is sick. A great vigilante gets revenge type of movie. Gerard Butler is the center of this bloody rampage. No, he doesn't kick anyone into a massive dark pit yelling, "THIS IS PHILLY!" But his portrayal of his character is sadistic and...
I don't go out to watch movies much but was glad I caught this one. I instantly fell in love with the dark, dead setting from the beginning of this movie. The action is nicely spread out with slow parts in between that helps build suspense. Not to mention a huge twist at the end. Overall one of the...
Carlos- A 3 part movie on the sundance channel. 6+ Hrs. ( on demand) An very good movie about "Carlos the jackel". I would recommend watching it.
As I sit back and look at my cable bill and wonder what happened to last weeks paycheck I remember that I went to go see the Rite! It's not a movie I usualy go see and it definitely isn't something I have been following, it kind of just happened. ( I see a lot of movies) This has all the claims...
So in a world where they make comic book movies every week and then remake them every other why would a Green Hornet movie be a good idea? Now here me out, it was actually a good movie. The reason it was good was the only reason I had went to see it and that's Seth Rogen. I liked Pineapple Express...
So I saw True Grit the other night and I thought that I'd post up a little review. This movie was pretty good, I'm a huge fan of westerns so it was right up my alley. The biggest issue that I had with the movie in general was that every time I heard Jeff Bridges talk, I couldn't picture him as a...
I finally got around to seeing the new A-Team movie. I went in with fairly low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed the movie (probably because I didn't expect much). The only thing I didn't like was that they made B.A. kind of a wuss. Liam Neeson was a little out of...

It was a huge piece of crap. Really that's all I need to say.
