While your arguments are valid, they are taken completely out of context and therefore not valid. You're inadequate attempt to confuse the core issue with contradicting statements and blatant disregard for the physical laws of nature further prove that your points are, while concise, completely long-winded and incoherent even thought they may be rational. Arguing further without agreeing with me about these truths only further shows that you are wrong, and I am right.

I'm not going to argue with you about it, because I know that if I don't argue, I'll win, and you'll lose because I'll stop arguing, because I'm not wrong, since I stopped arguing, and you aren't right because you don't agree with me.

I know you are trying to steal the Dragon Humidor out from under me... just so you know, I'm prepared to pay twice the asking price for that gem, so you better start thinking about whether you really want to tap into Ruth's college savings or not.
  10. BTW, thanks bro. I got the package today in the mail...perfect timing!

Taking of Pelham One Two Three

by mrtr33 on 09-01-2008 at 10:38 AM
This 1974 film, directed by Joseph Sargent, is about 4 heavily armed guys who hijack a subway train in NYC. It stars Walter Matthau, Robert Shaw, Martin Balsam, and Hector Elizondo. Matthau plays the head of the NYC transit police, and Shaw the head of the gang. Dick O'Neill and Jerry Stiller also co-star. Even Doris Roberts has a small part in this film.

The gang quickly and precisely makes their demands known. They have hostages, and seem serious to carry out their threats.

The Name of the Rose

by mrtr33 on 08-21-2008 at 12:56 AM
Maybe it's me. Maybe it was the time of day, or my mood. Perhaps the Malbec had something to do with it. But I just didn't get this movie at all.

Oh, it had promise. Sean Connery, a young Christian Slater, and everyone's favorite coy badguy, F. Murray Abraham. It just didn't do it for me.

The story takes place in an abbot, a long time ago. Books and logical thinking were enemies of the church. There are a series of mysterious deaths. All matters of mysteriousness

Amelie

Amelie is a French film by director Jean-Pierre Jeunet, made in 2001. Unimpressed with the "typical" life she "should" be leading, she invents a life for herself which fits her whimsical understanding of reality. She works as a waitress in Paris, amused by the passers-by of her everyday life.

She finds a box in her apartment of items that belonged to someone who used to live in her apartment. Intrigued, she takes efforts to not only locate, but return these

Feast of Love

by mrtr33 on 08-03-2008 at 12:39 PM
On the cover, this film looks great. It's set in Oregon (I think it's southern Portland area), and has an all star cast.

The protagonist (Greg Kinnear) in the film doesn't understand his wife (Selma Blair). At all. She leaves him for another woman they met after one of her softball games. The film sort of follows their growing relationship. He runs a small coffee shop, employing a younger man, who is a recovering drug addict, and is looking for love as well. A wonderful girl
