There are at least three stores of note in Paris. The two fanciest boutiques are La Civette near the Louvre, which I felt was the most expensive, Boutique 22 just off the Place Charles de Gaulle (where the Arc de Triomphe is), and a small store on the left bank on the Blvd. St. Germain called Tabatiere Odeon. It is across the street from the Odeon Metro stop. I believe all cigar prices are regulated by SEITI (or something like that), the French state monopoly. But accessory prices vary at each store. You can also find Havanas at about 50% of the small Tabacs in France. Since distribution is controlled by the government, any Tabac has access to them. As to price, I'd say they were a bit cheaper than in England, depending on the exchange rate at the time. --------------------------------- The best stores I found in Paris, if anyone is interested, were La Civette, Rue St. Honore (right behind the Louvre), La Cave a Cigares, 14 Blvd. Haussmann, and La Casa del Habano, 169 Blvd. St. Germain. ---------------------------------
