do I soak the humidifier in the 60/50 sol'n, or do I use a syringe and add the sol'n through the vents into the sponge??

I take it that I use a dropper to add the sol'n until the sponge becomes damp, then add distilled later on as needed?? I guess I just try to poke the sponge through the vents to...
