Thanks for the info. These are from 1989, does that make any difference. I'm kinda into wine and understand the aging process of wine, but how will this cigar react to the 20+ years of aging?

Welcome from Orlando
Last night i cast iron seared some chuck eye steaks. This is the cut at the end of the ribeye loin, its the same meat just without that distinctive eye shape marbelization, and its about half the...
Nice review, its fun to get the wife in on the action. My wife hates smoke of any kind let alone cigar smoke. I usually just make sure im sitting down wind from her. Although she did smoke about half...
Mine took a while to mellow out too. Through a couple non high dollar sticks in there and see how it does after a few days. Since it is high you can open it often to help drop the humidity down....

ever since badwhale's review i wanted to try a padron 6000 so i picked one up, also picked up a macundo 1997 they just released, looked cool and i like maduro's so i figured i would give it a try
lmao, yea we'll see how it goes.
thats why i built the humi into the house. Its not as nice to look at if there is no sticks in it, :smiley2:
Thanks for all the nice words guys!! I have to say im pretty impressed with the way it turned out too. Now that the temp outside is going to down the humi is staying at a consistent 70% at 74...

Thanks very much!
I'll snap some pics of it tomorrow when its light out so you can see it better.
How did you like the Decade?
Update:
I have since taken out my humidification device and my humidor stays steady at 67/77. I think that is about is good as its going to get for me here while its still hot outside.

b&m?
Well good thing i never did the salt test then :smiley4: Do you know how much the calibration pack goes for?
Thanks
Great suggestion guys thanks. Im a little broke right now so i have been buying sticks one at a time but once i get some more play money ill definitely find a sponsor and work out some kind of trade.
Supposedly it came calibrated from Xikar already. I guess it couldnt hurt to re-calibrate. I have heard of the salt test, is that the best way?
I have definitely thought of it, how much does one go for?
If i could do that i totally would. But my house was built in 1950 and insulation is slim. Keeping my AC at only 78 my electric bill was $277 last month. Thats pretty high for a house thats only 1026...
Hmm so considering the temp inside my humidor i need to really get the RH down.
Smoked a Nub Connecticut today and i have to say it was kinda blah. Im not sure if bland is a word used to describe cigars but thats how i felt about it. I think im finally starting to like cigars...
