    Default Favorite Expensive Cigar

Well after seeing what some of you considered a cheap cigar I am curious as to what is everyones single most favorite Expensive Cigar they have smoked?

So far for me I really enjoyed a Trinidad Robusto I think it was. At $69(can) It was for a special occasion last week and I really enjoyed it. It even had bloom on it from being in the humidor at my local store for so long I bought another one to replace it. They have the coolest caps on them.

    Davidoff Anniversario #1 - $33.00 (AWESOME)
Opus X and Diamond Crown Maximus "Toast Across America" Special edition (2003 and 2004) - $25.00 each (AWESOME)
    Cohiba Esplendido (ISOM) - ~ $25 - $30.00 (It was okay)
    Montecristo "A" ISOM - ~ $30.00 (AWESOME)
    Opus X "Forbidden X" - $25.00 (AWESOME)

Put away for a special occasion, but have not tried yet:

I've got some Cohiba EL's ISOM put away (the Sublime - 2004 and the Double Corona - 2003)
    Opus X "A" - ~ $40.00
Perdomo Edicion de Silvio Salamon, in the coffin - ~ $30.00

Way too many to list in the < $25 range...

$69 cd Dollars seems pretty steep for the Trinidad... I had the Trinidad Robusto Extra and paid around $20 each - definitely a nice cigar, but not in my top ten!!!

Edited to add the cool new smilie!!!

Taxes in the socialist land of Canada are ridiculous George, I'm acutally surprised it was that cheap.

As far as the question, what do you consider "expensive"? (Hell even machine made domestics are "expensive" in Canada )

To me, all of these are great:
    Padron 1926 #1, #2, #6 & #9 (maduro)
    Opux X (ALL sizes)
    Añejo #48, #49, #77
    Davidoff Millennium Blend Robusto, Churchill
    Davidoff <<7>>
    Diamond Crown Maximus #1, #2, #3, #4 & #5
Ramon Allones Gigantes, Petit Coronas, Coronas, Small Club Coronas
San Cristobal de la Habana El Morro, La Punta, El Principe, La Fuerza
Saint Luis Rey Doulbe Corona, Serie A

    Vegas Robaina Don Alejandro, Famosos
    H. Upmann Magnum 46, Sir Winston

Hmm... If I had to pick just one. I'd have to go with the Siglo VI. I think I payed about $30 for it. As George would say: Awesome!

And the new smiley is just too cool!

Gotta be the Padron 1926 Maduro #9. At $20 a lick...maybe the best cigar I've ever smoked.

Just dropped $30 on a Morales Custom Roll that should arrive soon. They are supposed to be excellent.

    More cool smilies please.

So far the most expensive cigar i've had was the montecristo classic, which goes for around 8-9 bucks, and it's my favorite so far.

I wish I had a choice It's only money though, and sometimes treating yourself out is important Any "good" cigar in Canada is at least $20! I smoke the $30 price range cigars usually though. A pack of cigarettes is $10 here! hahaha On the lighter side of things, I found a company in the states who has sent me a few boxs of cigars and marked "pens" on the customs form. He also labels the value under $40 so I don't get charged a penny tax!! And I never asked him to do that, I was prepared to pay the damned taxes. A rocky patel '90 goes for around $30 here but I just got a box of 20 for around $120 American! woo hoo I know I will still be smoking a cuban or two a week no matter the price

Oh, and this is for the government

Being a Canadian, I recently paid $80 for a Trinidad Robusto!!! It is probably the best cigar I have ever smoked, bar my 2 boxes of 1991 Montecristo #1's.......... (Canada is a nice country but Cigars are SUPER EXPENSIVE!)

    Default Ooops!.....

Heart felt apologies AND sympathy for my Canadian bretheren. I spoke too soon.

You are certainly correct. I am aware of some of the silly pricing up north.

A boss of mine from an older job used to fly down from the home office in Montreal now and then. He would always go home with stuff. Friends and family up north beg us to bring stuff with us when we visit.

    $30 for a Rocky Patel????

I don't get to have expensive cigars very often. My humidor is empty right now. I'm cleaning it out and getting ready for my next shipment of cigars, whenever they come. Money is kind of tight right now.

$30 for a Rocky Patel '90 is way too much money. It has a very nice ring gauge and is box pressed. What a beautiful cigar, but hardly worth $30. I can't wait until the next time I can fire one up!
