Since the new year, I've been listening to the podcast The History of Rome by Mike Duncan. Really interesting stuff. I'm trying to be dilligent about listening regularly, as of now there are 165 episodes, but it will still take me quite a while to catch up.

I've arrived in the 21st Century. I got myself a high end DAC, 24 bit/ 192Khz up-sampling. I have no idea what that means, but it sure makes Pandora sound good. All I know is my computer now talks to my stereo. Presently listening to Kate Melua. What a babe!

White Stripes and Portugal The Man. They have both been around for a while but I have just recently figured out that I actually like them. Especially Portugal.

My favorite Floyd song is Fearless, off Meddle.

Being a cigar forum, I'll contribute this tune by Jackson Browne: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eK2BEOLESDk

"Fearless" is ok, but not the strongest..."Meddle" itself, is the best song on that album, IMHO.

Really, there's no point in picking a favorite Floyd song...they are all awesome.

I'm turning this:Joe Bonamassa: Black Rock on spotify to see what Doc's talkin' about...

Willie Colón ~ anything I can find...

More specifically, anything that has Hécor Lavoe singing. Awesome.

I love how music is universal.

You ever notice how good something sounds, and it's in a different language. Like that scene in Private Ryan where the are listening to the Opera or whatever.

It's as if you can feel the meaning of the song.

I have been into Bob Dylan lately, and I don't know why. I am mid 30s but never really listened to his stuff before the last month. I downloaded his entire discography. I also found out that he was accused of plagiarism several times. He is by no means a great vocalist nor musician, but his lyrics are somewhat incredible.
