Default Labels - Do you have a favorite?

So, I was smoking an Oliva Serie V Belicoso and was enjoying the smoke and trying to determine what type of flavors I was getting, how the draw was, construction, etc. and I got to thinking that I tend to neglect the label. Sounds funny I know, but there are some really good looking and unique labels out there. So I ask, considering aesthetics, what is your favorite label? I thought the Serie V was good looking with some gold accenting and earthy tones. I also think the San Cristobal label is pretty cool. I know the smoke is the best part, but what do you guys think?

I like the San Cristobal as well!

    Diamond Crown Maximus
    Litto Gomez
    JdN Celebracion
    OpusX of course

And I really like the Illusione bands for their simplicity.

    Flashy - Opus X
    Contemporary - CAO
    Minimalist - Padron

    Honorable Mention - Zino Platinum

Dislike - Gurkha (the over the top bands covering half the smoke)

Matasa 30th is one of my favorites. Ghurkas are cool.

I prefer understated -- I try to never judge a cigar by its label -- I've tried enough smokes where all they have going for them are a flashy label, but I've had plenty of crappy/medicore smokes out there with plain lables as well...

The only lables I really like to hold on to are from the conterfeit cubans they peddle to tourists -- many friends and relatives have taken the "counterfeit cuban crash course" before a vacation and proudly come home with examples of fake and real labels to add to the collection.

    - God of Fire would have to be one of my favorites.
    - Partagas Black labels look cool.

I know there are a few more that I really like, just cant think of them right now.

I agree EGQ, and I don't buy based on the label. But marketing aside, I enjoy labels that are intricate and unique.

BigWhite, I also like the Diamond Crown Maximus label. I haven't smoked one yet, but the label is pretty neat.

Carlos Torano '59 is one of the best-looking labels out there, IMO.

I also like the Montecristo White labels. They are just so simple and elegant with the gold on white.

I'd have to say my all time fav is the VSG band just because it is as flashy (in a good way) as what it stands behind. Plus, the VSGs are my all time favorite cigar. The other cool one that caught my attention is the LX2.

I like Indian Tabac labels (Indian motorcycle ripoff, but maybe that's why I'm partial)

I like La Gloria Cubana lables too.

    I would have to say:

    NC:
    Opus (all)
    Camacho Triple Maduro
    CAO MX2
    Ashton VSG & ESG
    DCM

    CC:
    Cohiba
    Bolivar

I have always been partial to the Toraño bands. It is a matter of taste, but most bands I find to be either vulgar or derivative. There are very few truly ugly bands, though.

BTW, FYI, Rocky Patel licenses the Indian Tabac graphic from the Indian Motorcycle Company, so it isn't a ripoff.

I would have to say that Illusione cigars bands are probably my favorite. I also like the Tatuaje bands. Some more elaborate bands that I like are Zino, Alec Bradley Tempus, Man-o-war, and DPG My Father.

Opus X, especially the forbidden ones where it uses darker colors.

Gurkhas, even though I would never pay retail for their smokes, you have to admit their bands are a work of art. That's what you end up paying for. They spend so much at marketing and designing these fancy band, they have to sell their cigars at an insane price.

San Cristobals and Ashton VSGs would probably get my subtle, but nice band design.
