    Default Cigar Lounges...

I'm sitting at the Stanley Pappas cigar store and lounge (Denver,CO) right now. It's a Diamond Crown cigar lounge. I am really impressed. By far the nicest place I have ever smoked a cigar. It got me wondering what other members feel is the nicest place they ever smoked was.

Casa Fuente in Vegas. Its a small shop but having sexy women in linen dresses serve you alcohol/coffee is two thumbs up in my book. Not to mention they have an extensive collection of hard to find sticks from Fuente.

I smoked at Stanley Pappas today and I agree that it is a great place to smoke. It's very comfortable with a great selection of smokes and very educated and nice staff.

It was great and the lady that runs the place was nice and helpful. She got a little annoying though. After her initial contact with me, she kind of followed me around and commented on everything I picked up. I tried to be polite and drop hints that I just wanted to browse on my own, but she didn't get it. 10 or 15 mins later another customer came in. She was very nice and knew her stuff. I would definitely go back again.

Unfortunately, the majority of voting Washingtonians decided that smoking cigars in a lounge was in the same catagory as smoking cigarettes in a restaurant. I can't be within 25 ft of a door unless I'm walking. The only lounges in the state now are at a few of the Indian casinos

This is by the same folks who are now determining how much money people can make. And supervising the restructuring of the auto companies. I wonder if they are going to use the same model as our federal government's budget...

Stogies Cigar Lounge in Sioux Falls, SD best atmosphere, gets a little crowded but if you get there at a good time you get some nice leather couches near a slick fireplace. Good music and good drinks, cigar selection is limited but good.

Outlaw Cigar in Kansas City, MO, best parties, huge humidor, free food (during a monthly event) and some decent guys to hang with.

I wish I were in DC. They might not have a vote in congress but they can smoke in public!! I live in Seattle. It was decided by public initiative to disallow smoking anywhere inside and within 25' of a business. Only the Indian casinos are exempt from the ban. The funny part is the number of people now walking around with cigarettes rather than being sequestered to a single area.

DC is not a bad area, but its not the best either. In the DC area, you have Bethesda Tobacco in Bethesda, W. Curtis Drappers in DC and then Shelley's Backroom also in DC which is a cigar bar. Usually when people come out here they get directed to Shelley's. Bethesda just isn't a big tourist trap, go figure.

I'm here in Denver and make it up to the mountains quite a bit. Denver still has a few places left, but the majority are gone. Up the mountains you get a dirty look for having an UNLIT cigar in your mouth, so my best bet is seclusion! HA!

Went to The Humidor in San Antonio this weekend. It was pretty awesome. Not the largest sellection, but no BS and they had many of the higher end/popular sticks in stock.

I try to visit The Hill Cigar Co here in St. Louis when ever I can (It‘s a little far from where I live), they have a nice little sitting area in the front of the store as well as a patio for when it's nice out. Their selection is pretty good as well. There is an interesting mix of regulars who frequent the place, and they have great events with excellent food.

I was pretty impressed with the Golden Leaf in Minneapolis when I was up there in April, they had two big sitting areas and huge humidor with a nice selection.

I know several individuals that I currently smoke with that would love to know about this place. Thanks for posting it.

(Unreal_Doc would be one of them.)

    Talking Paul's in Portland

There is a place called Paul's in Portland OR near Jantzen Beach that is small but has some comfy chairs and a decent humidor with a good selection. I have been there to buy but not to smoke. It is a bit small, and they don't have refreshments at all. Just this past year the state passed an indoor smoking ban on all public indoor places. I used to enjoy a smoke in Burns in a bar up there, but no more! That really pissed me off, but what can I say, guess smoking outdoors is all I can do now. Perhaps there will be legislation to lift the ban in taverns, but who knows!
Just another day at the office!

I haven't really been anywhere fancy per se, but my favorite local joint is a place called Island Girl. Amazing little cigar bar, and every tuesday is trivia night. :) Amazingly comfy couches, great atmosphere... Pretty good on price too, so if anyone's ever in Jacksonville FL, let me know and I'll meet you up there. Heh.

There's only one shop nearby that I've seen and I've only been in once, more than two years ago before I started really smoking cigars. I'm only 24, and I think that's why I got some strange looks. The guy working the counter just stared at me as I looked around, and didn't offer any help or suggestions. I'm going to check it out again when I get back home, but from what I saw it didn't seem like a place I would visit often. Hopefully it was just a fluke, because it would be nice to have a B&M close to home to frequent.

They're all over the Metro Atlanta area..... but, I think the nicest one that I've been in, so far, is Buckhead Cigar.
