    Default Cigar stand

I always smoke in my garage, and usually sit my gar on the edge of the work bench, but this last time, I leaned against it, and burned my shirt.
I tried making a temp cigar stand using cardboard, but it didn't work at all. As I was looking around the gargae, I found an extra "hurricane clip" they are used to put between sheets of OSB board when building a roof. All I did was spread the clips out a littel bit and it worked perfectly.

    Pretty clever.

See, it's things like this that people make serious money on. Granted, the cigar smoking demographic isn't necessarily large enough to sell this kind of thing to, but you get the idea. You could expand on the idea, however. Make it a bit more classy, have something that catches the ash, that kind of thing. Right now, I just use whatever I can find, just like you, but don't have any hurricane clips lying around.

    Roger? Are you reading this?

I use the CigarX stands that are sold at Heartfelt. Very handy for taveling, plus they fit perfectly in my Palio case. I always have one on me.
    Yay! Cigars!

Ya, using this type of clip isn't very handy for traveling, but then I usually smoke at home any way.

I love finding off the wall uses for things I find hanging around...keeps me from getting bored.

If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.
