    Default *NEW LINE* Pride Cigars

Hey there I'm Steve Tabak, Marketing Director and Regional Sales Manager in FL for Pride Cigars. I want to thank you first for allowing me to be here in Cigarsmoker's discussion board. I want to tell about our new blend which has everyone here in Florida raving. Our tobacco which is grown in our factory in Santiago, DR is 100% cuban seed tobacco. What makes our tobacco special is the triple fermantation process, in bigger manufacturers they only do 1 or 2. We were at the trade show in August 2009 releasing our label and received a nice response from the lounges. Now its your turn to give us your feedback. Please visit our site(pridecigars.com) to see how we got started and to see the blends in which we carry. If you are out of the state of FL, I am more than happy to direct your lounge in the direction of that sales rep to get Pride Cigars in your shop. You may contact me at our website for questions. Thank you for your time in reading and look forward to being in your lounge one day.

    Sincerely,
    Steve Tabak

Now wait a minute "EVERYONE in Florida"? C'mon, that's a huge stretch of the truth. Florida is a big place, fourth largest state in the country with about 18 million people and from what you're saying here, EVERY SINGLE one of those 18 million people are "raving." I'm not so sure about that......

Oh and another thing, you spelled "fermentation" wrong.

It's also going to be hard for us to give you feedback on your cigars unless you provide some samples for people to try.

I respect what you stated, however I was being facetious about everyone raving. Since we are in Tampa, people at the local lounges are enjoying the blend. If you were in the states we would request you to go to your local lounge and request it.

Also I apologize for my mis-spelled word.

Misspelled words are one thing (misspelled, not mis-spelled), but the grammar is killing me so I'll fix it.

Nice work. Try to get your own shit right if you're going to pick someone else's apart.

    Another--singular. Sentences--not.

    Hey Steve,

We've got a tough crowd here. I think you'll find people on this site will not take a salesman on face value as having the product to die for.

I'm sure your cigars are very nice - and likely will interest some of the membership - but, to be honest, we've had so many snake oil salesman come through here with the "latest and greatest" cigar that selling them is not just as easy as posting a thread. There are other websites whose membership will blindly buy what the admins tell them to - though You will likely have to fill their humidors with cigars to get them motivated to have the membership buy... We're just not one of those sites.

I'm not going to offer marketing guidance (as that is not my forte), but in my view - if you're TRULY interested in promoting your product you may wish to consider offering a couple of our members the opportunity to sample your product and post a candid review.

LMAO, nice catch. I should have proofed it better but the spellcheck came back as okay (a first in my book) and I just hit submit while I was on the phone.

And man that spellcheck really is a nice feature. This is the first site that I've seen that has one.

    I completely agree with ggiese.

After reading your sales pitch I'm not feeling convinced enough to go out of my way to buy your cigars. But after reading some of the reviews posted here by trusted members I find myself actively looking for the cigars. A great review by someone that has earned respect here will go much, much further than any sales pitch.

So like ggiese said, send out a free sample to some of the established members here and maybe they will do a review for you.

Your butthole, me thinks it is in need of a broom handle, preferably wood and splintery. Happy St. Paddy's day!

I saw the subject of this thread and I thought it would be someone trying to market cigars to the LGBT market.
