I found this great coffee at my local supermarket (Woodman's) - Cameron's. It's roughly $6.00 a pound for Kona Blend. Good stuff!!!

But - in the true sense of brotherhood, Kevin is just wanting to ensure everyone has access to MrJerry's specials. I realize perhaps there's not a huge customer base, but I'm sure SOMEONE from 'Smokers will want to take him up on the offer...

I'll stick with my 8 O'Clock Bean, Kona, and Gurkha. At least I know what I'm getting with these.

If you google any of his "specials" odds are you can find better prices in about ten seconds. He gives the impression that he's the only one selling whatever his flavor of the month is but again, if you google the particular beans he's hawking in any given month, you'll find hundreds of sellers offering the same exact crap, usually for less money then he's asking.

I suppose I wouldn't mind paying more for his coffee if he was a good guy but he's a complete asshole. Hell, even if he were selling it for $3.00 a pound, I'd buy it from anyone but him even if it cost me twice as much, why patronize a douche bag?

I believe his "unofficial" reason was you - but (for the record) I believe he said there are not enough orders on CigarSmokers (or Snobs, for that matter) to sustain his continued attempts at selling his beans here (or there).

He seems, at least on the surface, to believe he's on the right course, And (admittedly) he's running a business and I'm not. So I don't think what I think (or you, Bill) really matters to Mr. Jerry. He'll drive that bus anywhere he doggone pleases!!!

Personally - I think his marketing strategy matches his personality, and I'd be inclined to do things a bit differently. Kris' "silica vaginosis" diagnosis seems pretty accurate. Calling for banning of "friends" under some very innocuous comments seems to be a bit off - but then again - Mr. Jerry's marketing style has always been a bit different. I'm not in any position to be sure that's good or bad for him.

I just want you to know - I had begun to collect $$$ for the MarineOne Royalty fund. But now that I see where those funds are destined to go, I'm not so sure I'm willing to encourage such incorrigible behavior...

...then again - given the choices (hooker vs. Killer Beans) - it may not be a bad investment to go the hooker route. Certainly, it may end up being the gift that keeps on giving!!!

I've actually been inclined to buy some beans from him before, from the praise his beans get at CP, I figured they were decent.

After the little fiasco here though, I've definitely thought otherwise. Especially after the fact was pointed out that they are nothing special and just resold. To me they seem no different that what I could get at Walmart for less than half the price.

Glad I never pulled the trigger before.
