Default Esteban Carreras 10 Anos Maduro ~ Torpedo

    ashauler's review

Smoke: Esteban Carreras 10 Anos Maduro ~ Torpedo
    Drink: Yuengling Porter
    Tunes: None

    Wrapper: Nicaraguan
    Binder: Nicaraguan
    Filler: Nicaraguan
    Draw: Medium draw
    Burn: Good
    Misc: 60min

Pre-light: Colorado maduro, almost Oscuro shade wrapper. Box press torpedo shape. Nice construction. Rich sweet tobacco scent. Same sweet leathery tobacco flavor on the cut prelight taste.

    Light: Easy. Solid medium draw.

1st 3rd: Rich. Full body. Medium to full flavor. Dense oily smoke. Sweet tobacco, but masked somewhat by the oil flavors. Porter is a nice pairing. Leather. Earthy. Lots of different stuff I can’t describe right now.

Ash: Crisp white and flakey. Doesn’t look too strong. Holds on for about ˝”

2nd 3rd: Sweet tobacco now mixing nicely with a nice oily tone. Woodsy and earthy. Very rich flavors. Very nice. Dense, but not overpowering spicy or pepper on a nose exhale.

3rd 3rd: Now more woodsy and oily even with a couple purges. Doing good though… Again, rich flavors and smooth. Nice smoke, great draw, even burn.

Overall impression: Very enjoyable, complex smoke. I will look for more.

Thanks to he who shall not be named.

Nice review, that looks like a tasty stick that would be right up my alley. I will keep an eye out one of those.

Nice review Will! I find the maduro cigars overall more enjoyable myself. Looks like a fine stick.

    Great review Will,
I have half a dozen of them in the Toro size rat-holed away somewhere. I have yet to try them. Now you got me thinking.
