Thread: Cigar Bar Etiquette

  1. Default Cigar Bar Etiquette

    Hi,

New to cigar smoking, but I'm hooked.
I have a question. I'll be touring with a Blues band in China soon. One of the hotels we're booked at has a cigar bar. Is a cigar bar a bar (where you buy your drink) and it is customary to open up your cigar case, share a stick or two and light up, yourself? Or is it a bar in which you may buy a drink and buy a cigar to smoke? In other words, is it okay to bring my own smokes?
I feel a little ridiculous asking but I'd like to know before I go.

    Thanks,

    Bill

How about posting an intro thread...If you bring your own you prolly will have to pay a fee.

Yeah, some have a "cutting charge" even though you cut your own. Kinda like a boyb places that has a cork fee.

Some have no issues with you bringing your own either, it is on a bar by bar basis. The best bet is to call the bar and check if you can. If not, I would just plan on buying a cigar at the bar.

What they said. In China there arent many smoking restrictions though, so at many regular bars you can smoke.
