Default 5.4 on the richter scale

USGS reports a 5.4 earthquake down in about the middle of VA today. We felt it here at the office, and the wife called up to report feeling it at home.

Work with me here, feeling an earthquake on the east coast is "news" worthy.

Any other atlantic peeps experience it?

ETA: Apparently, it was a 5.8

The wife and I (in two different locations in the northern suburbs of Chicago) felt a "rumble". Not sure if it's related, but it was at about the time the eartquake was reported in VA.

...or it could have been thunder.

We had a 6.4 in the region on Friday. I was in my car (parked) and felt the car sway. Felt like being parked and having a large vehicle go by causing your car to shift side to side. Quake was deep so no risk of tsunami and there was no damage.

I grew up in Southern CA. Earthquakes hit us so much that we got used to them and didn't even stop what we were doing at that moment.
5.8 is pretty strong, though. Your sense of time gets all screwed up while waiting for it to stop.
