Ever hear that song "All Night Long" by Joe Walsh? It's my pedestal pumps' theme song tonight. We're within inches of water flowing across the first floor here. Yay!!!

    Thanks. I might need it.

For now, it seems to have tapered off, and is receding. What we get here is flash flooding because the big creek backs up. I'm writing this now standing in about 3" of water in the mancave and having a WOAM from logan37

Wow, just read that the Susquehanna river is expected to keep rising another 14 feet from Wednesday and peak Friday/Saturday.

Stay safe with your family. I know flooding sucks, BTDT, but try to remember that it is only material possessions.

    Right on, Craig.

I just made a pot of coffee, and forgot to put the caraf under after hitting brew.

Up 'till four AM to watch it all fill up the basement completely. Got the little piss-ass sump running down there now to unload it.

    Where we went wrong:

Well, there was just a lot of unrelenting rainfall, with the area already already jammed up, however both 1/3HP pedestal pumps were doing the job...until one got jammed with some debris, and kicked the GFCI. By the time I checked (which was about every 10-15min) the water was almost up to the motors on both. I tried to put a back up in, but that didn't work. Had to just give up and make sure the back door to the basement was open to let the water go out (i.e. no collect a water level inside the basement.)

    This was the worst yet.

Dang that sucks, we've never had to deal with that here... this is what our river looks like year round:

Feel free to send some of that water to Tucson, we've been in a crisis drought for as long as I can remember.
