Thank you for your enthusiasim and compulsion to yell at the thread in all caps.
The question was asked because there are a lot of sites that suggest taking them off, but as someone new to the hobby I didn't want to do anything to affect the experience in a negative manner.
The question has been answered and I am leaving the wrapper on now. If your anger/frustration is the result of something else then I feel for you and hope you can deal with the anger in a more constructive way.
One of the most ironic parts of growing old is sitting down and enjoying a smoke with the children who used to sneak around behind your back to smoke a cigarette.
