    Default New to the forum, cigar rookie

    Hello all

    Over the years I've dabbled in cigars...handouts at weddings, poker games, etc... but none of these really caught my attention. However, a few months ago a good friend brought over a couple Davidoffs and Bolivars and something clicked. I guess I'd never sampled a decent cigar before. Anyways, since that night I've been buying singles from the local shop (albeit not cheap) and trying to sample as much as I can to learn as much as I can and to get to know my palate. I've been enjoying some of the more mid to full bodied cigars, and have especially enjoyed the couple Ramon Allones sticks I've smoked.

    Just bought my first humidor and am ready to dive deeper into this game. Anyways, I'm looking forward to soaking up as much info as possible here as I've learned a great deal just flipping through this board over the last few days

    Thanks for the warm welcome everyone, much appreciated.

    A good friend is bringing over a couple Cohiba Siglo 2's tonight, my first Cohiba so I'm looking forward to giving it a shot. Hope everyone else plans to smoke well over the weekend

    Welcome from South Louisiana... Working in South Mississippi this week...smoked by the pool tonight. 58 degrees outside.. Bet you cant do that where you are!!!

    You're right about that. Last night it was around 40 degrees when I went out to smoke, which all things considered is pretty good for these parts. Unfortunately it wasn't poolside.

    HAHA!! let me not mislead you sir.. Unfortunately it wasnt my pool, but the Holiday Inn pool... Not much to do in McComb Ms. in the evening!!
