Thread: Dont understand humidity.

  1. Default Dont understand humidity.

Well, tried to get my homidor to 70%, and then cigars get wet. Temp was around 24 degrees. 58 percent humidity at 23 degrees, and they r "normal". Is it something wrong here?

Are you using a digital or analog hygrometer, did you calibrate it, and what are using for a humidity source? I'm assuming you are talking degrees Celsius which would mean your ambient temperature range is around what I normally experience in Miami.

    Something is definitely wrong here.

  5. Default Well, its a problem

Tested with 3 different, and all show the same (one digital).

Can around 60 percent at 23-24 degrees be a good storage for my sigars?

I will not have sigars for year. I buy new, and use oldest first. Maybe i save a couple for years

Don't put sigars in a homodor, what the hell is wrong with you? 23 degrees? Holy $hit man that's below freezing. There is no such think as relative homoidity below freezing you freak.

  7. Default Tested with salttest and got result.

Strangely, 3 hygrometers showed 12 percent too low humidity.

My degrees r celsius, not fahrenheit.

I keep my cigars at 60%RH. 58% sound damn near perfect in my book.
