Thread: Fonseca

    Default Fonseca

I'm new to this forum & cigars, but will try to make a long story short:
Vacationed to New Orleans & fell in love with a small cigar labelled Fonseca.
(may have also been the dozen or so Hurricanes I consumed).

Came back to my home in St. Louis where they aren't available from my shop- but I would like to support the local store.
I've tried about a dozen different brands & so far really like the OSA line- but they're a bit expensive.

Can anyone here suggest something similar to the Fonseca?
Earthy, creamy, spicy- not bitter at all.

No, that's how I normally end my posts (Valediction.) Some people say:

    Thanks,
    Will

    but I say

Yes, those are a couple recommendations.

    Welcome to the board.
Fonseca's are pretty decent smokes, and one that I've found most b/m's to stock. They are readily available on-line as well and usually at very reasonable prices.
You might give the NC Montecristos, Davidoff classic, Oliva G and O a try.

Thanks guys, I'll try some of those on my next round.
Had the Oliva- thought it was a little dry.

    Which Oliva? G / O / Special S / Flor de Oliva / Master blend I-II-II/

    Default which

Which Fonseca? Sungrown, Natural, Maduro, Matasa?

I love the Fonseca Anejo. Dynamite stick. And cheap, too.

I believe it was the natural- found a local shop that has the maduro, that I'll try to get this week.
Still thinking OSA is my favorite.

The only Fonseca I have tried is the Sun Grown Cedar #3. The two I smoked, I really liked.

The Fonseca Arana is one heck of a smoke, and not expensive at all. A real full flavored Habano. Try cigar.com. They're onyl about $35 for a mazo of 20.
