Thread: Best Gift Idea for Husband Who Has the Occasional Cigar

  1. Default Best Gift Idea for Husband Who Has the Occasional Cigar

I'd like to surprise my husband with a nice set of cigars.

He only smokes once or twice a month - so a box might be too many.

    Any suggestions for purchase?

    He has a humidor.

    Thanks!

The best advice i can give you is, open up his humidor and look at what he smokes.
Then head to your local cigar shop and inform them of what your wanting to do and what cigars your husband smokes.

IF that don't work for you then here is a idea. "click the link below"

    This list is better:
    Padron Serie 1926 #1 maduro
    Arturo Fuente Untold Story
    Arturo Fuente Opus X "A"
    Davidoff Special Series Double R
    Davidoff Gran Cru #1
Arturo Fuente Aņejo #49 or #48

    Invasion of Privacy...

I'm taking advice and opening my husbands' humidor.

It's like entering a secret world.

First thing I noticed was a shot glass full of a liquid. What was that? Vodka.

Then it occured to me, it's probably water.

Anyhow he has a lot of cigars in there, but there's room for a few more.

    I'll list.

Siglo III Habanoa, Cuba - pretty yellow box
    Savinelli 1986
    Carlos Torano
    Dunhill Aged Cigars
Liberty 2002 Honduras (in a wooden box with stars)

I guess that gives an idea of his style of cigar that he likes. He's a pretty frugal guy, so if there was anything fancy in there it was probably an executive gift.

Let me know if this changes any of the recommendations. Christmas will be here soon enough!!

Well, we now know one thing, your husband doesn't know how to maintain a humidor.
As far as a gift goes, I'd go with any Padron 1926. He's probably too "frugal" to buy them for himself.

I have been here a very long time take the advice of CC have one of the guys put together something for you. How much do you want to spend? Sometimes someone will do buy me a box of these (there will be a link there) and that person will send you an assortment of cigars. Those deals are normally very good.

Sound like he's old school Doc, my dad used to do the same thing back in the 1960s, before "beads" were ever heard of, LOL!

    Yes Heidi, it's water.
