I have a pretty good-sized cigar cabinet, measuring about 6.3 cubic feet. I had been humidifying it with a Hydra LG electronic humidifier, which worked OK - but then gave up the ghost after only 18 months. New units cost about $200. A friend suggested using beads instead, for example, Puck-ifier RH beads. But, I would have to buy a lot of them, given the size of my cigar cabinet. I have used these beads for a much smaller cigar chest, and they have worked well. Has anyone had experience with either of these humidificaton devices, and any thoughts on which way I ought to go - Hydra LG or RH beads? Thanks much.
