These guys have been in business a century and a half. Must be doing something right. Real good real American cigars.

I don't know why, but a "Betsy Ross Perfecto" cracks me up.

Ha! Yeah. They have accumulated dozens of defunct brand names over the century and a half. Like Engagement and Newcomer. They still make the Newcomer.
Unmitigated risk aversion is the new Puritanism; complete with witch hunts funny outfits and humorless preachers thundering doom. The Deity is Safety; Satan is a Lawyer; but the object is the same: to suck the life out of life and tell you how to live it.

Some interesting statements on the website. No fermentation of the tobacco, only air curing, hmmmm. Fermented tobacco is first air cured, then fermented to remove ammonia and provide good smoking characteristics, like PH, burn, etc.

So, webmost, what happens if you keep these cigars for 6-8 months before smoking?

Amish barns...... FWIW I don't really care for the amish. I don't hate them but I have little use for a religious group who does not have to do what other Americans are required to do by our laws.
The older I get ,the better I was

It's clear to me these cigars were never created for long term storage or maximum enjoyment, and only created to generate smoke...

I believe I can light a smoke bomb to do the same thing...

I'm not sure there would be a noticeable difference drying the tobacco in an "Amish" barn. Anyone got any measurable perspective on that? As in - evidence it creates a higher quality cigar?

Sorry... Had to put up a link to something much more useful - and it's American made too!

I wonder who the "Johnny Sotweedseed" person is who was quoted on their website...

Comparing a machine made cigar to a machine made motorcycle or truck is an interesting parallel. I'm not sure ol' Johnny realizes that both trucks and motorcycles are not machine made.
