Default Harmony House in Penticton BC Canada

Hey guys, just thought I would throw an update out there. Me and my wife picked up a place in Penticton in August(My sister has lived there for 10 years). Penticton is in the very tip of the same desert that extends all the way down to Mexico and it's the hottest place in Canada

Anyways, the place was destroyed when we first took possession, from over three years of being a drug/bum house. Here are a couple photos of the before:

Anyways, we've done over a dozen 8 hour drives through the rocky mountains and back to fix the place up since then. And the end result is pretty cool.
Anyways, check it out and let me know what you think.

Penticton - home of one of my favorite Blackhawks players, Duncan Keith!

Very nice place - very tempting to visit... Very nice job in restoring the place!

So.....I take this thread as the "official" kick off for the "CS's Anual Herf at Roham's Place"?

Kidding aside, looks you have a lot of time invested in making it look as good as it does!

I call dibs on the big parking space in back............I think my 25' travel trailer would just fit in there nicely

Nice spot and nice work Roham! Last time the wife and I drove down to the US we went through the Osoyoos border crossing and (obviously) passed through Penticton. It's some pretty country. We talked about relocating in that area because she's sick of winters up north here.........LOL

Are you and your lovely wife all done with immigration yet?

I love the drive down into the "Valley". You can really tell when you've hit the desert. And the real estate market is sitting real low right now. Problem is it's always hard to make a living in and around Penticton I hear. My sisters made it ten years so far however. And ya my wife became a "permenant resident" a year and a half ago. We even went to Las Vegas last month. She had to get a visa because she's still traveling with her Iranian passport It was easy. Vegas is stressful.

The wife and I spent 9 days in Vegas when we went a couple years back, that's about 4 too many for me. I'm not big on giving my hard earned money away to casino's so I mostly went to see the sights and go to some shows. If I never make it back there, it won't bother me.

I know a guy who lives in Oliver, just south of Penticton, who is the owner of a custom gun shop. He was telling me it's not easy to make a living in that area too.
