Default Famous Nicaraguan Corojo ~ Robusto

Smoke: Famous Nicaraguan Corojo ~ Robusto
    Drink: Troegs Nugget Nectar
Tunes: Metallica ~ And Justice for All
    Date Smoked: 03-28-13

    Wrapper: Nicaraguan
    Binder: Nicaraguan
    Filler: Nicaraguan
    Draw: Medium to light
    Burn: Irregular
    Misc: n/a

Pre-light: Reddish Colorado-maduro shade wrapper. Construction looks ok, with a cardboard like texture on the wrapper. Nice sweet tobacco / cedar scent. Slight tobacco flavor on cut prelight taste.

Light: Easy, with a medium to light draw.

1st 3rd: Spicy, with a nice sweet woodsy tobacco ring. A bit toothy, but not too harsh. A slight walnut skin oil bitter, but not as dominant. Burning sideways.

Ash: White with swirling irregular layers. Holds on for about 1”

2nd 3rd: Whoa. Went kinda ashy flavored now. Give it a purge and a touch up. Still seems like a bad roll, but flavors devolve into ashy – oily. Sweet tobacco? Not as much, but still not too harsh.

3rd 3rd: Burn kinda won’t correct. Some flavors have salvaged themselves, like some sweet tobacco, but generally has been tarnished by the 2nd 3rd ashy flavor. Try another purge…nah the 1st 3rd was the highlight.

    Overall impression: Won’t seek more.

Thanks K7 for letting me try this one!

I hear that. Hey, I just review them as I taste them. I realize that a bundle jobbie like this can be hit or miss.
