The Leaf by Oscar; also known as Leaf n Bean's House Blend here in Pittsburgh. Leaf n Bean is a lounge here in the Strip District and this is their House Blend. It is marketed as Leaf by Oscar to be sold at other retailers.
There are 4 blends to this line, Maduro, Connecticut, Corojo, and Sumatra. They can be bought in a sampler of one of each blend. This is a unique cigar, in that it comes wrapped in a tobacco leaf and the band is made
out of tobacco. That is right; the band is made out of tobacco! So wait, does that mean you can smoke THROUGH the band? Well, I don't know; keep reading to find out!

Movie: Thor: Dark World & Captain America: Winter Soldier
Drink: Cherry Vodka & Diet Coke
    Where: Basement

    Pre-Light
    - Forgot to take notes. Wonder why?
    - Doesn't look too appealing all wrapped up does it?

    1st Third
    - Feint subtle pepper.
    - A sweetness appeared shortly alongside the pepper.
    - Towards the end of the First Third, the pepper subsided and the sweetness took over.
    - There is another underlying taste that I can't place.

    2nd Third
    - The sweetness remains and hints of coco appear shortly into the Second Third.
    - The Second Third remained kept with the sweetness and coco tastes.

    Final Third
    - The sweetness has wavered a bit by the start of the Final Third and the coco flavor had subsided to make way for some nice tobacco taste.
    - Oh, and why YES; I AM smoking the BAND! How about that! Yes, it all tobacco and can be smoked through. It does change the tastes a bit by bringing the sweetness back.

    Conclusion
Gimmicky, yeah maybe but it is still a solid smoke. I recommend trying the Leaf by Oscar. I've smoked all four blends and liked the Sumatra the most. The Connecticut and Maduro are second, with the Corojo at the end.

Cool, thanks for the review. I probably wouldn't smoke the band, because of the ink. But then again, I've inhaled much worse things in my life.

Gotta love the whiskey ice balls!

Hmmm. What did you do with the leaf? Try it in a pipe?

Burned it a bit by bit as I was smoking. The aroma is great on these cigars.

Damn, I saw this review and just forgot to post a comment.

Nice pix!!! I think a buddy at work gifted one of these to me when he was last in da 'burg. I'll have to dig around and find it and see how it compares to your review.

    Thanks!
