This is my Basset Hound, Grant. He is 7 weeks old. I named him Grant because the kennel I got him from was a few miles down the road from where President Ulysses S. Grant was born. I passed the house and museum on the way to get him but it was closed.

I used to have a Tri-Color Basset Hound. They are super family dogs.

Yeah, thus far he has been GREAT. He loves attention and can't be left alone for more than a few minutes. I'll be out of town on Tuesday and Wednesday, and my brother and sister will be at school so I hope he can handle it.

This is my kitty. I named him Sherwood, after the forest. He loves people and to ham it for pictures. His favorite thing to do is act cute for treats. He weights 15-16 pounds (because of the holidays he might be a tad heavier) He basically is low maintenance, only eating one type of cat treat, Iams dry food, and he drinks water.

Bass, that third shot is a great one!!! Very nice scenery!!

Penguin, belated condolences for your Senior!! I had to put an Irish Setter down at 14 in the early 90's and I still think of her every day. My Mina (Black Lab) died in my arms in '99 and our Jack Russell was poisoned in '04. It's tough to see a pet die!!

Now we have a 10 yo Chocolate Lab, and a 6 yo Greyhound we rescued off a track. I'm gonna post pics tomorrow or Sunday.
