    Default Tasting Notes

I want to set up a personal log of cigar tasting notes for future buying reference. Can anyone out there share a suitable format with me or offer up any tips?

I don't know if you're going for an online format or what but I just use a $5 journal I picked up at Barnes and Noble. I paste the band to the top of a page, date it, and write down size and wrapper. That gives me plenty of room to make a short entry about the situation I was in when I smoked it (time, place, special occasion, etc.) as well as the overall impression I got from the cigar.
Then at the bottom of each page, I have my grades for different aspects of the stick, 1-10, for things such as appearance, ash, flavor, etc.
It gives me a nice reference to check over before I go to the b&m or if someone wants a recommendation.

Thanks ! Is this a plain/blank style journal or one designed especially for cigar notes?

The journal I got is just a plain journal, about 4x6 inches, lined pages, little ribbon thingy hanging out the top so you can mark your place...there are all kinds of fancy ones, mine is just black, says journal on the front.
My brother in law has a really nice leather bound journal with a little snap deal and the super thick unlined paper but he's that kind of guy. I like the lined paper, makes it easier to keep my stuff organized. Good luck!
