Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!

    alittle about mysef:

I am 25...a graduate student...live in buffalo, ny...married two years...and the best part
is my wife completely supports this hobby.
I found a great smoke shop....the cigar shop at www.smokinjoes.com
It's on an indian reservation so no tax!! The cigar shop is incredible.
I wonder if bigpuffdaddy who is from buffalo buys smokes there?

anyway having another cuesta-rey today. It really is almost hard to keep trying
others.... these cuestas are so good.

anyone know a very similar smoke to the robusto #7 but cheaper?

    hey now all,

I'll pick those up and give them a try! I am heading to smokin joes tomorrow.

dangnabbit...i saw those sungrowns last time I was there but didn't know what the sungrowns meant or tasted like.

tomorrow my quest is to find a nice full bodied smoke. I have tried mild...macanudos...didnt come close to the cuesta rey's which I am thinking are a medium smoke?

Here is what I am thinking of picking up...if you guys want to suggest any other full bodied cigars please do let me know!!!

    c.a.o criollo pato
    camacho coyolar
    davidoff millenium series
    excalibur dark knight
hoyo de monterrey dark sumatra espresso
    montecristo platinum series
    partagas black label
    punch gran cu

all are robusto or rothchild in size as I do prefer the short 4.5-5 length and 50-52 guage...not a long long smoke but perfect for half hour smoke with nice fatness.

ok so if you see a cigar on my list that you think I should stay away from please let me know also!

    Thanks guys!

Exodus Gold (although I'm partial to the silver's)!!! Virtuoso's!!! Good call, Dan!!!

Most on that list I'd call Medium to Medium full bodied (just smoked a Monte Platinum the last two days - great smoke). Along the same lines is the new Camacho Select Robusto - had one yesterday - it's the first Camacho that I like!!!

I also like the Gurkha Master Select. Get the XO - it's a monster of a cigar, but a fantastic medium-full cigar.

You want FULL bodied cigars, try the Joya De Nicaragua Antano series and the La Flor Dominica Double Ligero Chisels. Both you better smoke on a full stomach or they'll toss you on the floor like a rag doll! Nice full bodied, peppery... The Antano you have to make past the first 1/4 or so to get the full effect and flavor (tastes VERY peppery the first quarter, then it smooths out very nicely).

Agreed on the Torano Virtuoso and signature.

May want to try one of those Montecristo peruvians....the maduro, nice lil firecracker, never had the platinum.
