Default The worst sticker in the world...

    ...
    DAMN YOU CANADA CUSTOMS!

I got 4 packages in the mail this week, and this was the last one that I am expecting and they nail it. Oh well, it was probably for the best, seeing as it contained the least quantity of sticks

Still made it A LOT cheaper than buying here (if the sticks were available here, and I don't think they were).

Oh. I didn't know that. Do you get a fine? Not that I'm planning anything - just curious.

edit: I missed the Alberta, CA in your post. Forget the "fine" question since I assume it's totally legal to import these where you live.

Yeah, it's legal, but with the Canadian universal healthcare, their taxes on tobacco is really really high...

Drew, Newf, Pyro... care to comment?

Actually, these sticks weren't from the island (thankfully). They were a pair of ESGs. The funny thing is that they had price tags still on them, yet they were 'only' assessed a value of 25 dollars.

But out of the probably close to 100 packages I have had come to and from me across the border, I have only had duty assessed on two, although I have had one that was opened and let across.

We have a health care system??

Jeezuz Crow, that's news to me.

My daughter is a severe asthmatic and the last time she ended up in hospital, she was in the ER waiting room from 11:30 PM 'till 7:15 AM. Wifey was fuggin' beside herself and I was in Joisey on business. I personally have been in a local walk-in clinic and waited in the waiting room for 4 hours until I was diagnosed with pneumonia and sent to hospital.

Yeah, it's free, but it really, REALLY, REALLY (did I say REALLY) sux the big one.

That's only a part of the reason we have high taxes. We are a God Damned Socialistic Welfare State started by that Liberal bastard Peirre Elliot Treaudeau (no, I ain't gonna say God rest his soul, I hope he's burning in hell).

OK, I'm gonna get down off my soapbox now, go outside and smoke something and cound to a million of something to cool off.

Brrr....this is why "universal health care", the mantra of the Demoncrats, scares the hell out of me. I already have to wait too much and have to deal with too much bureaucracy with the current medical care I get. With UHC, I could see waits like you described, crappy doctors, good doctors moving abroad or just giving up, inferior health care, bureaucrats deciding what care we get, all very, very bad......

And it really isn't free either. It is paid for by our 40% income tax rates and 200% alcohol and tobacco rates.

Exactly baka. Remember, if you want something frigged up, let the Government work at it for a while. My dad is a GP and he says "Our fucking Medical system is all fucked up".

Well the liberals down here all point to what a great system Canada has. Looks like all Canadians would not agree with them

    Very interesting, but it stinks.

Actually, NONE of the Liberals I know, and I know quite a few, think Canada has a good healthcare system. The fact that they have a universal system is the point, not that it's managed or designed well.

This whole thread belongs in the politics forum.

Hillary and all her bandwagon don't count as libs??

I don't see a single UHC system in the world that seems to work very well and provide high levels of health care. It's just more manna for the masses, bread and circuses for the plebes, one more way to "give" something to buy more votes, which is later used to control the citizenry as it gives the govt power over their citizens, something of which they already have too much.
