Great event today with Miguel Schoedel of Roberto Duran Cigars. Formerly with CAO and Torano. He blended the Salutem from Torano. Great BOTL... Check them out if you get a chance.

It's been ages since I bought anything but a friend was recently in Palm Springs and brought me back some cigars:

    1 box (26) Padron 3000 Robusto's
    10 x Rocky Patel Decade Torpedo's
    10 x Arturo Fuente Anejo 48's

A couple weeks back a friend went to Mexico and brought me back a box (25) of the Te-Amo #4's

Another friend just got back from Mexico Saturday and I picked up the box of Te-Amo #4 Anniversario's he brought me back from his wife (she works where I do) just a few minutes ago.

If you've never tried these you should. They're a 5 x 42 cigar that are mild to medium in strength. I find they make the perfect "yard gar" You can't beat the price either. These were picked up at the duty free shop in the Cancun airport and the sticker on the bottom says $85 USD

Those Azan Burgundy's are quite a good smoke! And you can't beat the price of them.
    Yay! Cigars!

I've been saving my pennies since my wife and I started planning this most recent trip to the US in earnest. Sometime in late January. Initially I connected to Tampa Sweethearts looking to score a box of Anejo #48's and got to looking over their stock and prices and in the end blew my entire wad on all AF cigars. I bought the following:
    1 box (25) Anejo #48
1 box (25) Hemingway Classic Maduro
2 boxes (25 ea) Flor Fina 8-5-8 Maduro
    5 - Anejo 888
    5 - Hemingway Untold Story

I placed the order with none other than Arturo Fuente Jr himself and had them shipped to my daughter in Portland, OR. Upon opening package I found my cigars in perfect condition along with a card with a handwritten note inside thanking me for my business and for smoking their family's cigars signed by Arturo Fuente Jr himself. Now that's a nice touch and they're definitely a class act.

Thinking ahead, I ordered some humidity beads from Heartfelt and had them shipped to my daughters place as well. I bought a cooler in a Walmart for $20 and the cigars stayed at pretty much 65% humidity the whole trip. I now have a coolerador should I ever have enough $ to overflow my 500 count humidor....

    I love that place...

Speaking of "saving my pennies" - during my recent cruise/visit to Victoria, BC I paid a visit to a cigar store. The prices were not exactly fantastic, but the selection was out of this world. Momma let me pick up a few goodies!!!

    2X VR Famosos
2X VR Regional Release (Canada) - looks like Edmundo size
2X Partagas Serie D #4 (one of my FAVORITES)
    5X Por Larranaga PC's

The numbers were low - I really did not want to press my luck.
