    Default Carlito's Way Sampler

I just ordered this sampler. Can anyone offer me any insight into these cigars?

Arturo Fuente Anejo Special Release Cameroon Shark (5.88 x 64)
Arturo Fuente Hemingway Work of Art Maduro (4.88 x 60)
Ashton Virgin Sun Grown Wizard (6 x 56)
    Fuente Fuente Opus X Belicoso XXX (4.63 x 49)
    Fuente Fuente Opus X Perfecxion X (6.25 x 48)

    Thanks!

    Steve

They don't suck, and it is a helluva deal

There were around 2000 IIRC Sand Sharks (from www.vitolas.net) produced for this sampler. There were also a few more given out or auctioned at various function. The Wizard is fairly hard to find, as is the WOAM. The other 2 are regular production Opus.

I've only had a few of the Opus X and they were all powerhouses, but good cigars. Just eat before you smoke one. Good luck.

I ordered 3 of these last night then noticed that there was a limit of 1. The order was accepted and the money taken. Even the free shipping was credited. Will they get bounced?

BTW: Sidewinder, I think it is a hell of a deal and they are all good smokes.

Thanks for the info! From what you guys have said here and from what Hefty has told me on the side, this sounds like it was a good purchase.

I think I know what you mean by "powerhouses." I smoked a Graycliff Mike Ditka 1985 once and actually felt a little light headed! Has anyone had one of those with that experience?

Well, that answers that. I've got one coming and am on the wish list if more become available, whatever that means.

Anyway, still a good deal and I'm glad to get what I got.

Perhaps I should order another in a co-worker's name and have it shipped to the office.....

That XXX with kick the Ditkas ass. The Mike Ditka Graycliff is a very nice full bodied smoke, but the power ranger is definitely one notch above.

I'm be sure to eat something and have a nice glass of water on hand when I light it up! Thanks for the heads up!

Point taken! I stand corrected and would probably rather keep my positive karma intact.

Now I'm ashamed to admit it but I ordered two about 2 weeks ago and thought it went through...
However, only one arrived and I was only charged for one... Looks like the system is smarter than me.

The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, "You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done." -unknown

I'm still waiting for mine to arrive, but I planned on keeping them around a while before smoking one. Maybe 'til Spring. I'll have to defer to someone who knows more than I know for the answer to that question.

    Bueller? Bueller? Anyone? Anyone?

Most domestic cigars are ready to smoke right off the shelf. I find Opus and Anejos benefit from a year or so in the humi though. I smoked a "Shark" last week from 05.

I compared my notes of then to the ones I made last week. The cigar had mellowed and had lost some of the "bite" the fresher one had...They came out of the same box.
