What did you think of the Las Calaveras? Was it 2016?

Yes it was. Nice smoke! Medium bodied. Subtle dry impressions of smokey espresso and a little dark cocoa. A little earthy as well. The flavors didn't pick up until the second third and were quite subtle. Very little spice and pepper. The tobacco was mellow.

I've had two robusto. Delicious. Very musky-cocoa taste. Has a sweetness to it also. It must be the conn. broadleaf wrap. Did you pick those up locally or online? Just curious.

Bobalu Texas Reserve today. Some minor construction issues and a little damp. Had a little trouble smoking it.

I have experienced construction issues on a couple here from my last shipment. Not good.

Had a short story a few days ago. Always good. Trying my first AF Chateau natural (4.5x50) this evening with Johnny Walker on the rocks.

The Chateau was a tasty smoke. I may have to dabble around in this line. Prices look decent too. Maduro in the same size is in my future.

I started to load a pipe with 1Q then changed my mind. DPG Blue with Johnny Walker on the rocks.

Mmmmm mmmm mmmm ... good smoke

HC white label. I am finding that I like these and the black label maduros a lot. I have not had the red label yet. I should give them a try as well.
