Thread: Smoke a Pinetop While Listening to Pinetop

  1. Default Smoke a Pinetop While Listening to Pinetop

I think I hurt someone's feelings by posting an invitation to an Avalon event. So...There will be an event somewhere with some guy playing an instrument. It is sponsored by some company and there will be some cigars there. If you want more information ask someone else who isn't trying to sell you anything.

What if I just want to invite some people to a cool function where they can hang out with us, drink some cold beer, smoke some cigars and hear a living legend play some blues?

I hope you can make it. We've come a long way since the last time you came to see us in Clarks-vegas. The event starts at 2:00 Sunday afternoon. Pinetop doesn't go on until later, but if you do come down, we'll make sure you get a chance to meet him.

    Best regards,

    Tom

Hey that's cool, however things are a little different when you are a retailer/manufacturer and post links to your company/company functions in the post.

edit: not trying to knock you as a retailer or start a flame fest or anything, but that post is clearly an advertisement.

I think your smart ass edit actually hurt you more than helped you. There was nothing harsh in the post drew_goring made, just a simple request. In a later post he even explained why he posted it, and stated this wasn't to start a flame fest........maybe you didn't see that part,? Or did you see it and are just trying to get something going.

In any regard, that's a pretty petty edit you made, and your post now offends me when in the first place it really didn't matter to me one way or the other, though I would tend to side with drew it wasn't a big deal.

There really was no need for that. I just simply reminded you of the rules. I expected more than a childish comment from an allegedly reputable cigar manufacturer.

Not too cool, not too funny, not too smart, and it didn't win you or your company any brownie points with me.

Edit: By the way, in case you didn't realize it... you are in a highly competitive market with lots of good product available. I will have to think long and hard before I consider putting a dime in your pocket, specifically because of this thread.

Consider this a learning experience... I have.

Since this message has caused such a tempest (due almost entirely by my smart mouth), I respectfully request that the moderators remove it. I'll quietly put myself in time-out.
