Thread: cigar and a drink?

  1. #1

    Default cigar and a drink?

Just wondering what others prefer to drink with their cigars. Me, I love a White Russian of a Guiness.

Iced coffee for the most part...a nice whiskey with a thick cigar sounds good!

Just about anything...whatever I feel like and have at the moment. Scotch, rum, gin, whiskey, coffee, tea, iced tea, dr. pepper, coke, etc.

Dr. Pepper seems to go very well with most smokes.

I hope you meant "white russian OR a Guinness".

For me, it's all about Coke or bourbon (neat).

Me Too. I like most any drink with Kahlua or other coffee liqueur with a cigar. I think that coffee and cigars compliment each other. Or maybe it's the double whammy of caffeine and nicotine.

My second choice is a shot of Patron or Tres Amigos to wake up whats left of my taste buds.

Coffee almost all the time.....good old H20, and the once in a while beer. I have been getting closer and closer to trying scotch and cognac since I've read so much about them being good matches for cigars.

The most amazing cigar/drink combination I've encountered was a RP Vintage '90 Torpedo with a glass of Jonesey Tawny Port.

    So...try Port wine.

OK, that does it, I'm stopping by the liquor store and pick up a bottle of Jonesey today!

Lately, I've enjoyed Newcastle Ale allowed to "warm" to about 60*. This brings the flavor alive

seems to go well with spicy corojo cigars.

..gonna get some port wine myself, how do you all drink port? cold, cool, or room temp?

When I drink port, I drink it cold or cool. Don't know if that's the right way, but I cannot drink room temperature liquid. Sarah, on the other hand, drinks everything room temperature.

Agree. I enjoy Smithwick's warmer than I do cold because I began to notice that the flavor is more apparent when warmer but not too warm.
I enjoy my liquor on the cooler side.

I wife likes diet coke at room temp.

I usually don't have anything to drink because I'm in the car and don't feel like stopping.

If I had my choice. It would be single malt scotch.

In the morning it would be coffee.

In the afternoon its either Mt Dew or Dr Pepper.

In the evening its either a nice beer, bourbon or scotch.
