    bump for update...
When I have a drink with a cigar, I choose whatever I have: Captain Morgan's Private Stock, Makers Mark, Patron Silver, Knob Creek or Jack Daniels. My favorite is Capt. Morgan's Private Stock with either MUG or A&W Rootbeer... Uncle Steve put me onto this combination and I don't know what it is, but it goes great with any cigar. Tonight, I matched it with a 5 Vegas Cask Strength and a Macanudo Hyde Park... delicious!!

I had a recent run in with some bourbon and coke. Went very well with a couple of different cigars. Too well. Almost.

It's called a root beer barrel, and it's best with Barq's and a cheap spiced rum like Captain.

I know not everyone likes the macanudo's but that one was the last of a 5er my local cigar store suckered me on and I can't throw sticks away, without at least trying to smoke 'em first. That's why I started with the 5 Vegas Cask Strength. I was just trying to get rid of the macanudo... not a big fan of them... very mild taste.. my comment about 'delicious' was in relation to the 5 Vegas. I guess I should hvae been a little more clear about that.

    Hefty,
I agree, the root beer barrel tastes better with Barq's, but I had MUG at the apartment, so that's what I use. Kind of funny how stuff gets passed on isn't it?

I prefer to smoke cigars with scotch whiskey
with coffee it is good too, but there is nothing better in the world, when you have time to relax with your favorite whiskey and cigar and this joint wonderful aroma surrounds you

If I'm really relaxing it has to be Hennessy XO. But I have to have time to really enjoy both of them.

I drink coffee or iced tea (sun tea, not store bought fake iced tea) in the summer. So far I've found either one goes nicely with any cigar.

Wish I could try cigars with various forms of alcohol but me and alcohol do not get along.............
