Wow. Time sure has flown. I discovered this forum just over five years ago. I was just getting into cigars for the second time. I made a few friends and learned a little about cigars though I've mostly been a pipe guy since I started smoking back in the mid 80s.

In the meantime I have ignored my cigars in favor of pipes a couple of different times and have just recently returned to cigars. So here I am again.

Back in June an old friend came to visit and we opened my humidor because the topic of Cuba came up in conversation somehow. I hadn't smoked a cigar for three years until we lit up a Punch Punch from 06, I believe. It came from a BOTL on another forum but that's beside the point. It was a nice smoke and it made me realize that I've missed lighting up the occasional stogie with a friend.

I really enjoy my pipe tobaccos and all the accoutrements and 'fiddlings' that go with the pipe hobby but imo cigars are meant to be shared with a friend. That's where forums like this come in handy.

Now excuse me for a minute while I light this HdM Churchill from 07 that I had forgotten about. It's good to be back.
