Wind-proof Lighter
I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on a good butane lighter that would stand up against the wind and/or cold. Over the past couple of weeks I have smoked outside where it was either freezing cold or windy as hell and of course I was unable to light my cigar outside. Now I relize that when I'm at home that I can light it inside and then go outside but in some of the situations I was at a restaurant which would probably not appreciate such action.

I have a cheap $15 butane lighter and it does pretty good in the wind. I would think most butane lighters should be ok. You can buy some heavy duty wind proof lighters for camping at placed like Mountain Coop Equiptment or canadian tire (but I don't think you CT down in the States..)

WOXOF pointed me to the Firebird by Colibri. It can be found at WalMart in the camping section. Runs about $12 and there's fluid right next to it. Worked fine in the wind. Now if I could only find it.

Blazer torches for something in your pocket - best lighter on the market IMHO (and originally for welders to let you know how durable ti is). And, I've mentioned this a couple times - my primary lighter at home is a creme brulee lighter you can get at Williams-Sonoma or at Bed Bath & Beyond. Wind? What wind... :smiley2:
You can get the Blazer from Mark at cigarmony.com

I am with you with the Blazer Lighter.
For the money, it has great quality and lights time after time.
