Hello,
My name is Jason
I'm currently located in Poland, but am here for school. I'm a med student (yes I know smoking is bad) studying abroad (originally from Chicago). Not sure if expat is the right saying here...
I started smoking cigars a few years back. I only smoke cigars on special occasions i.e. after exams, when we go out on the town, when I finish a day of classes, etc.
I started and still prefer milder blends. Davidoff brand is probably my favorite as I enjoy the milder taste (Cohiba is not on my list).
Also when I started school, I started up a alcohol collection (interesting student I would say. Booze and smokes..) which now has cases of wine from all over the world, many different whiskeys and scotches and others.
I enjoy a good scotch with a cigar after a long week or after a exam.
My goal one day is to make a room dedicated to cigars and wine (but I think it would be a tad hard in a apartment)
I have a few hobbies which include
Traveling - I love to travel. I'm one of those flying nuts who will fly extra just to earn points. And I enjoy exploring new places and new countries. And with that I like to discover local flavors and culture. Just last month I was in Mexico and bought some cigars from a local shop whose family have had a small plantation for generations. He rolled the cigars in front of me and I was able to enjoy a few before bringing a box back to Poland. In addition that I'm a travel agent on the side.
Scuba - a bit non related, but I do enjoy scuba diving which ties in to the traveling to remote and interesting spots
electronics - computers, high tech gadgets, etc.
I bought a humidor a few months back when I was home for the summer and am working on getting it up and running. A lot of issues there. I hope to fill it soon with many different cigars from all over the world. My goal is to get many different "family owned" small brands which will allow you to "taste" the local culture and life in that area.
