Hello! I have one more question.
Is it possible that in some parts of humidor is varies humidity? At the bottom of humidor is much less moisture than at the top. Even cedar wood inside has about half a brighter color than the top. Cigars I have stored are in three layers to each other (like in the box, but in three layers). What is the problem? Is there little free space?
Yes. Hydrometers take readings from the air inside the humidor, so it is very likely that different sections will have varying Rh. It will probably only vary sightly, so it shouldn't be a problem. You're reading a higher Rh on the top level of your humidor probably because there is actually more air circulation there.Quote:

There will always be a slight humidity gradient within a humidor but it should be quite negligible inside a desktop. If you have a very large cabinet you might need to install some fans for circulation but it sounds like this is not the case.

Solutions, if desired, include keeping a slot/parts of slots free so the air can circulate, or having humidification on both levels.
I say "if desired," as, in a traditional desktop with a single tray, you can keep the cigars that you're aging in the bottom - where they won't be disturbed (much) by the regular opening and closing - and keep the cigars that you're smoking in the top tray.
