Smoke El Mejor Gran Reserva ~ Emerald Toro
Drink(s): Ice Water / Yuengling Boc Beer
Wrapper: Medium brown with tiny black speckles (EMS?)
Draw: Easy to medium throughout
Burn: Pretty even with small cone throughout, Runs good by itself, not much nursing needed
Misc: 60-75 minute smoke, Nose exhale exhibits good flavor, slight burn (not overbearing.) Not sure the Boc was the right complement. Too sweet, but too late now!
Pre-light: Good construction, shaggy foot, no soft spots

Light: Peppery & burny, good smoke volume & even light
1st 3rd: Mellows when you hit the wrapper. Still some pepper notes with slight leathery taste that lingers on the sides of the tongue.

Ash: Light gray with yellowish tint & tiny ash bubbles on surface.

2nd 3rd: Peppery taste becoming more subtle, leather taking over...and there goes my ash on the notebook! Sorta cedar taste mixed in with flavor moving to tip & top of tongue

3rd 3rd: Moving into the home stretch. Previous mentioned flavors blending into an oily mix. Heat picking up slightly and body mellowing out.

Add beer!

Overall impression: I'm glad I got a box, and I'm glad I've let them sit for 6 months & counting. I guess I'd give it something in the high 80s
