Call for help
Hello Fellow BOTLs
A recent visit to my local B&M introduced me to the Grower President from Kauai Cigar Company. After chatting with him for a while he informed me that there was a recent legislation that has almost passed in Hawaii. This piece of legislation would increase the tax on tobacco 80%(Now its at 105%, basically prohibiting the sales of cigars in Hawaii) on the wholesale side. He let me know how detrimental it would be to his company being that they are a small humble cigar company who grows their own crop and distributes their own cigars. Although this piece of legislation is not specifically targeting cigar businesses, Kauai Cigar Co. is unfortunately caught in it's cross hairs. He informed me that he will be posting a letter on their website that you can print, sign and send in that will hopefully change the minds of Hawaii's legislature. I'm calling on everyone as a fellow BOTL to help this company out.
By coincidence Kauai Cigar Co. is responsible for the cigars we have chosen for the next box split in the CS exchange section. If we don't act now, we might not be able to enjoy their cigars in the near future.
On a side note, they will debuting a Hawaiian puro in the near future which should be very interesting.
Here is their website: http://kauaicigar.com/

Shite, seein' as how I'm from Nova Scotia, I highly doubt any legislators in the Aloha State give a rat's ass what I think.:smiley36:
Legislators only responsibility is to the people who elect them, not the ones from outside their districts, certainly not ones from outside their states and definitely not anyone from outside their country.
Hawaii is almost as left wing as Connecticut, Massachusetts and the rest of the liberal trash states in the northeast so there is little if any hope for stopping this legislation. Tell the guy to move to North Carolina and leave the liberals to ruin Hawaii all on their own.
