Cuvee 151
Robusto 5 X 50
The bold text below is from another review site as the cuvee cigars site does not list the components of the cigar, just says "coming soon".
Origin: Dominican Republic
Wrapper: Brazilian Maduro
Binder: ???
Filler: Nicaraguan and Costa Rican
I have smoked about 5-6 of these, and had very similar experiences and consistent flavors through all the sticks so I thought I would post up a quick review.
This is a very nice cigar in appearance and construction. I will say the draw on all of these has been spot on with just the right amount of resistance, no soft-spots, and no burn issues.
This is by all means a full bodied and full flavored smoke that works exceptionally well after a nice dinner, imho. It reminds me just a bit of the 18 paired maduro with the spice and sweetness that it mixes together as it develops, but its an 18 on steroids as it has more of everything. More chocolatey notes.....more intense spice notes......more woody character.....more complexity as the smoke progresses and more evolution in flavor as it progresses. I haven't experienced any bitterness with this smoke, and I have nubbed everyone of them.
If you are into full bodied / full flavored smokes, give this one a shot. I'd rate this one as a weekend treat. :smiley20:

Thanks for the review. I've never tried a Cuvee, but this sounds like something I would dig!

Never had a Cuvee, though they've caught my eye. Nice review. What would you compare it to?
-
I think he compared it to the Cusano 18 paired maduro (on steroids).
Thanks for the review. I have a few Cuvee floating around the humidor. I'll have to give one a shot soon.

Well, in strength, it's not quite as powerful as a JdN Antano, but it does pack a punch. It uses the Brazilian Maduro, so it could perhaps be compared with the CAO Brazilia, though for me it is more full than that.
