This might have been covered in the past, but can you help rate the "store brands" (JR alts, I heard Thompsons aren't good, etc)?

As I mentioned in the Favorite Cheap Cigar Thread Here Holt's House Selection Hondurans are excellent medium-bodied smokes... quite tasty and well constructed for a "store brand" cigar... the are the unbanded ones in the far left of the tray in my humidor pic Here The size is "Robusto Fina" and the come in a 10 pack for about $10.

I started cigar smoking by smoking the JR alts..... not a bad smoke but also not a great smoke. Just very inexpensive. I would stay away from Thompsons, but that is just my personal opinion. I have not had any good experiences with them.

Jr Ultimates are the best house brand going. Made by Villazon...very tasty, but a little pricy for a house brand.

Welcome! :smiley37: As stated, JR ultimates are pretty tasty. Thompson's isn't the greatest but I recommend the Iguana maduro(not candela!) for you to try. :smiley37:
