Under the tutelage of GGiese, I have made this recent purchase, can't wait to smoke them!!!

i bought 3 of those griffen's XXIs, but wasn't all that impressed. those 1990 are great, though. hope you enjoy them all!Quote:

Very nice pick up, Sean... I didn't mention the RP 90's, but that is an awesome smoke too! Next time, try the RP Sungrowns.
Let the Opus sit for a bit - if they are a little less humid they burn better (the only complaint I have is they tend to keep going out - but I'm told if they are kept in a little less humidity for a bit, they smoke better).

I'd say they were on the mild side of medium. What I liked about them is they started fairly mild, and built to a very nice medium bodied cigar - lots of subtle flavors - with a ton of smoke. The construction on those bad boys is phenomenal! And I like the size they come in - the perfect size for me!Quote:

I have noticed that with just about any Fuente cigar I buy, that they seem to be a bit too wet right out of the box. They "canoe" and go out easily. I believe its due to the little humi-pak they enclose with their cigars. I always have to let a new box sit in my cabinet open for a week or two before they're bearable.
I have never bought a box of Opus X (!!!!) or seen a newly opened box. But does Fuente enclose one of the humi-paks in with the Opus line too?
Wait a minute.....can you even buy a whole box of Opus X??????
