Good thing I am on a hill. They say it's coming close to the iowa flood of 65 which is the worst in the record books for Iowa. Good thing it's only a small town of 500 people really, bad thing is it's my small town of 5000 people. It's not effecting my home but I know quite a few people who it is.

Those scenes bring back bad memories of the floods of May 1st in my town. I'm on high ground also so I came out OK.

Yeah we got 7 inches of rain after about a month of solid thunderstorms really ground was just too saturated and the river was already full. we're waiting to see what it does when the waters from north of us make it down. They say it's supposed to crest like Tuesday or something. I don't think there was anyone hurt but it sure is a mess. It's not supposed to rain again for a week so that's good.
