Longterm single-stick ziplock sotrage
So, I'm at work now and I had planned on leaving a little early and catching the early bus. Well, a few last-minute calls later and it's too late. Next bus comes an hour and a half later. Some times like these I wouldn't mind having a cigar to pass the time.
It would be rare for such an occasion to arise where I'd want an unplanned cigar and not be able to get home, so a humidor or even tupperdor with a humidifier seems unnecessary.
Would it work to store an individual cigar in its own ziplock indefinitely? I was thinking I could keep the ziplock opened in the coolidor for a little while, then immediately seal in a cigar with a little humidified air. The bag would not be opened again until the stick was ready to smoke.
The bag should be airtight, right? So, if it never gets opened, shouldn't the cigar within stay at the right humidity?
The only problem I can foresee is that cigars should be allowed to breathe fresh air every once in a while. So, for how long would it be okay to keep it like this?
